"Dusty" Brandom is a gnome of the Darkmoon Faire, located at Darkmoon Island, which is only available during the monthly Darkmoon Faire event. He is located right next to the entrance portal, advertising the use of the Faire's Darkmoon Strider mounts. The mounts are usable by characters of any level, making them especially useful for those under level 20.

"Dusty" Brandom is named after Dusty Brandom, a World of Warcraft gamer who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, who helped design this NPC. He also features in the multi-award-winning 2013 documentary Dusty's Trail: Summit of Borneo. Dusty and his family raise awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy through their charity Coalition Duchenne.
