A 15 Pound Mud Snapper is a trophy fish that can be caught while fishing. It does nothing, but can be equipped in the off-hand and shown off.
If you merely wield the trophy fish, it will not show on your character. You have to type 'z' to force the wielded items to display.

Trophy Mud Snappers can only be fished in low level zones. The locations are much more restrictive than where you can catch 
[Raw Longjaw Mud Snapper]. You cannot catch trophy Mud Snappers in major cities.

Catching this fish satisfies the requirements of 
[One That Didn't Get Away]. Only the heaviest trophy fish of each species satisfies the quest requirements. (A few of the rare fish that satisfy this achievement are not this sort of trophy fish.)
The 
[Accomplished Angler] achievement, a fishing meta-achievement, requires completion of [One That Didn't Get Away], so catching the 15 Pound Mud Snapper will apply toward that achievement as well.
