Description

The damned Horde! Clever bastards, I'll give them that. They diverted at the north fork of the Barrens and are now marching on Ashenvale.

The kaldorei forces already set sail for Silithus--must be halfway there by now. The only defenders still in the area are the Darnassian City Guard. They are en route to Astranaar, but they won't last long against an army. Their commander goes by the name of Delaryn Summermoon.

Find her, <name>, and buy us time. We will get our fleet there as soon as we can.

Notes

A portal to Astranaar is being held open by Field Marshal Cogspark just outside in the courtyard.

In Astranaar, Captain Delaryn Summermoon is kneeling next to the body of Captain Alennah Starsong. Many more can be found across the burning town. Behind her are Darnassian Archers, and Darnassian Huntresses.

On arrival

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: The bodies... so many bodies...

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: We tried to set a trap for the Horde. It failed. We could not stop them.

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: Our outposts were taken by surprise. They fell one by one. The guards were poisoned.

She stands.

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: And the civilians... not even they were spared. I only hope that some managed to flee before...

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: Forgive me, friend... who did you say you were? Are you the one Malfurion spoke of?

Captain Delaryn Summermoon says: There are more wisps than I can count. The loss of life...

Most of Malfurion's troops have already set sailed for Silithus, but Darnassus has sent its city guards to help reinforce Astranaar. Their captain goes by the name of Delaryn Summermoon.

Find her, <name>. Hold the city for as long as you can. King Anduin and I will send a fleet as soon as we can muster.
