We got here, tore the place apart, and headed toward the prison house. We weren't expecting what we found in there, <name>. Seems the Crusade's been real busy. That whole thing is full of Argent Dawn prisoners. Most of them were already dead by the time we arrived, but a few were still breathing.

I was about to go in there and execute the rest of them, but I think you should have the honors. In particular, there's a real feisty <race> in there that I think you'll take great pleasure in executing.

If you have a pet ghoul, put it on passive or it'll attack and kill the target before you can draw blood, depriving you of credit for the kill. Also, if you don't kill the interlocutor fast enough, another death knight can. However, if you don't kill them, no one gets the credit, as the prisoner will die from their injuries.

Conclusions[]

From the various quotes, several interesting facts can be made about the player's character as well as odd inconsistencies.

Worgen death knights were Gilneans that were trapped on the other side of the Greymane Wall and became worgen servants of Arugal.
Oddly, tauren death knights are told they were born in Mulgore. The tauren did not create Thunder Bluff until after joining the Horde, which would mean the player comes from another tribe which had to have been wandering through the land of Mulgore when they were born. This is odd due to Mulgore having been heavily inhabited by enemies of the tauren prior to their joining the Horde.
The goblin death knight may have been a member of the Steamwheedle Cartel, rivals of the Bilgewater Cartel that makes up most of the Horde's goblins.
Draenei death knights were born on Argus at least 13,000 years ago.
Troll death knights defeated the Darkspear traitor Zalazane on the Echo Isles.
- Players may confuse this event with Zalazane's Fall which happened after the fall of the Lich King and would therefore be chronologically impossible with the events of the death knight starting zone. Iggy is likely referring to the old quest [10] Zalazane, during which low level players "defeat" Zalazane - the events of Zalazane's Fall later reveal that those adventurers were deceived by an illusion.
The night elf death knight was supposedly a child when the Temple of the Moon already existed, but Teldrassil and Darnassus only came into existence after the Third War, which would make the player 7 years old. Yazmina Oakenthorn also mentions feeding the player character sheep's milk, which is odd considering that sheep are not native to Kalimdor.
- In World of Warcraft: Illidan, Maiev remembers Darnassus during The Frozen Throne, which may be a mistake.
