Abjurist Belmara is a human ghost mage of the Kirin Tor found in in Kirin'Var Village in Netherstorm. She died when the village was destroyed by Kael'thas' forces. [Belmara's Tome] is a book that she read every night before going to bed. It is required to put her to rest, upon which her spirit becomes neutral.

Abilities[]

Arcane Missiles — Launches magical missiles at an enemy, inflicting Arcane damage.
Chilled — If an enemy strikes the caster, they may have their movement slowed by 30% and the time between their attacks increased by 20% for 5 sec. Only one type of Armor spell can be active on the Mage at any time.
Frost Armor — Encases the caster in a layer of frost that lasts 30 min. The thick ice reduces Physical damage taken, slows melee attackers' movement, and increases the time between their attacks.

Belmara appears to originally have been intended to appear in Warlords of Draenor as a follower. She was replaced by Magister Serena, whose voice files are listed as Belmara's. This was changed likely due to the fact that Belmara did not survive the events of Kirin'Var. She shares this distinction with another Kirin'Var victim, Conjurer Luminrath, who was replaced by Magister Krelas.
As a potential Follower, she had an invisible recruiting spell with the following description: Follower: Abjurist Belmara — Belmara has learned to let go of the temper she once kindled as an apprentice, and is now famed for her cold, calculating approach to the magic arts.
