Adamantite ore is mined from both Adamantite and Rich Adamantite Deposits.
Adamantite Deposit
A mining skill of 325 or higher is required to extract ore from an Adamantite Deposit, and yields between 2 and 4 pieces of ore.
These deposits are found in:
- Blade's Edge Mountains (common)
- Nagrand (common)
- Terokkar Forest (uncommon)
- Zangarmarsh (rare)
Rich Adamantite Deposit
A mining skill of 350 or higher is required to extract ore from a Rich Adamantite Deposit, and yields between 5 and 8 pieces of ore before being exhausted.
These deposits are found in:
- Nagrand (common)
- Shadowmoon Valley (common)

The following gems may also be found while mining Adamantite Deposits (either type). Collectively, a gem appears about 3% of the time. The uncommon gems occur 5-10 times as often as the rare ones.
