Alliance Guards are level 45 humans defending the Alterac Valley entrance in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Prior to the Shattering and the destruction of Southshore they were merely called Southshore Guards and defended the town.
They also appeared during the Legion Invasions.

- They are one of the only NPCs to still use the Lordaeron tabard.
- They appear in Southshore vs Tarren Mill, still called Alliance Guards instead of using their original name.

Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Renamed from Southshore Guard and mostly removed, now guarding Alterac Valley. 
Patch 1.1.0 (2004-11-07): Added as "Southshore Guard".
