Objectives

Turn in 100 Spiced Rib Roasts, Highmountain Salmon, or Silkweave Bandages for Lao Shu's stockpile. The Cooking and First Aid professions may be useful for this task.

Description

I have gone through our stockpile several times and no matter how I try to cut corners, we come up short.

A lack of food and medicine will halt our war efforts... that is simply the reality.

We desperately need food or bandages. If you know how to acquire any such items, you can bring them to me.

Notes

There are three repeatable quests from Lao Shu while on this quest:

•   [10-45] Silkweave Bandages
•   [10-45] Highmountain Salmon
•   [10-45] Spiced Rib Roast

Each one requires 5 of the respective item in return for 5 supplies. Given that fishing is generally considered time-intensive and the  [Shal'dorei Silk] required for the bandages could arguably be better used elsewhere (such as an alt with tailoring), Spiced Rib Roast is the go-to choice for many monks.

The easiest means to obtain the materials necessary for cooking 100 Spiced Rib Roast is to fly to Nesingwary's Retreat in Highmountain and kill any of the following at the retreat or in Pinerock Basin:

• Pinerock Elderhorn
• Cursed Elderhorn
• Sated Hillstrider

Alternatively, if you have neither cooking nor the recipe, you can purchase the necessary reagents for this quest from the Auction House if you have gold to spare.
