Anub'esset is a nerubian crypt lord boss in Assault on Violet Hold.

Anub'esset, one of the few remaining ancient Nerubian crypt lords, was captured by the Kirin Tor during the invasion of Icecrown Citadel and imprisoned in Violet Hold. Set free during the Legion's invasion, his thoughts turn only to revenge against the living.
Overview[]
Anub'esset attacks the party and calls scarabs and beetles to assist him in battle. Players must quickly eliminate his minions before becoming overwhelmed.
Damage Dealers[]
- Quickly kill Spitting Scarabs after they are spawned by Call of the Swarm.
- When targeted by Impale, move away from other players to avoid damaging them.

- Mandible Strike — Inflicts 1415250 to 1644750 Physical damage and reduces healing received by 50% for 10 sec.
- Impale — Causes a barrage of spikes to emerge from the ground in a cone towards a player. Players hit by a spike suffer 323750 to 376250 Physical damage and are knocked into the air.

- Blistering Beetle — On Heroic difficulty, Blistering Beetles will burrow into the fight, fixating on nearby players. When they come into contact with a player or die, they will explode, creating a pool of Blistering Ooze.
- Blistering Ooze — Players who step into the Blistering Ooze take 275000 Nature damage every 2 sec. and have their movement speed reduced by 45% for 6 sec.
