Ar'kelos is an arcane guardian found guarding the entrance of the Violet Tower in the Netherstorm.

Ar'kelos seems to be giving off a dampening field that prevents Archmage Vargoth from using his magic, which is why Vargoth can't simply just kill the golem himself.

Arcane Explosion — Sends out a blast wave of magic, inflicting Arcane damage to nearby enemies.

Notes

If you step inside the Violet Tower, you will be afflicted by the Curse of the Violet Tower, which reduces your damage by 50%. You cannot step out of the tower to fight him, as it resets and you have to start over again.
Hunter pets or warlock demons are not afflicted by this curse, thus making it easier for hunters or warlocks.
