Arcane Intellect is a level 8 mage ability that increases the target's intellect by 5%. If the target is in the mage's group, Arcane Intellect will be applied to all members of the group.
This spell can be cosmetically altered with
[Glyph of Dalaran Brilliance].

- An uncommon mage ability in the Trading Card Game. Its flavor text reads: "Knowledge is power."
- A basic mage spell in Hearthstone. Its flavor text reads: "Playing this card makes you SMARTER. And let's face it: we could all stand to be a little smarter."
- A pamphlet distributed in the city of Dalaran to promote mages claims that "most master works of literature have been written while the author was under the influence of arcane intellect."[1]
Patch changes[]
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now gives 5% bonus to Intellect (was 10%). Now learned at level 8 (was 58).
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Re-added at level 58 (was 1).
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed.
Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): The buff will be stored in a Consolidation Box when received. It will come out when 3 min is left.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14):
- Now overwrites
[Arcane Brilliance]. - No longer stacks with
[Fel Intelligence].
- Now overwrites
Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Mana cost reduced.
Patch 2.0.1 (2006-12-05): When casting a higher rank spell on a lower level friendly player it will automatically cast the highest possible rank of the spell. Previously, this had to be done with a macro that picked the proper rank based on the target's level.
Patch 1.1.1 (2004-11-17): Reagent requirements have been removed.
Patch 1.1.0 (2004-11-07): Ranks 4 and 5 now require reagents.
Patch 0.10 (2004-09-18): INT boost decreased to offset the increased mana pool per INT point. (Effectiveness will remain the same.)
