Aru-Talis is said to have been a mythical city that was destroyed many generations before the Great Sundering. Some believed it to be a myth, but the Sisterhood of Elune kept many legends and stories about the Well of Eternity. Tyrande Whisperwind was convinced the city existed because in its former place lied a gaping crater overgrown by new life, and thought that Aru-Talis had been destroyed by misusing power from the Well, which is what she feared Illidan Stormrage would do after stealing water from it.[1]
