Spellstorm refers to a type of magic wielded by Druids. Similar to Frostfire, it means that a spell can do either Arcane or Nature spell damage. Spellstorm is special as it combines the strengths of these two elements - if an enemy is invulnerable to Arcane, it will deal Nature damage and vice versa. It also works around resistances and absorption effects in the same manner, thus evading mages' Mage Ward and warlocks' Nether Protection, though not warlocks' Nether Ward. The only spell that uses it so far is Starsurge, and the power of the spellstorm damage here is that it can take advantage of both the Eclipse effects that Balance Druids use.

Astral[1] (formerly Spellstorm) refers to a type of magic wielded by druids. It is a multi-school, combining the Arcane and Nature schools. Multi-school abilities benefit from bonuses that affect any of their schools, use the lowest resistance value among their schools, ignore absorption and immunity effects that apply to only some of their schools, and can be used even when one or more of their schools have been locked with an interrupt effect.
