Avalanchion is located in Avalanchion's Vault in Deepholm. He is the target of the quest 
[30-35] Bring Down the Avalanche.
Prior to the Cataclysm, Avalanchion was part of the periodic Elemental Invasions. He spawned in Azshara amidst a host of rock elementals and was constantly escorted by Thundering Invaders.
Avalanchion is eventually sent by Therazane to aid the Earthen Ring in their fight against the Burning Legion.

Boulder — Hurls a boulder at an enemy, inflicting Physical damage.- Ground Tremor — Stuns nearby enemies, rendering them unable to move or attack for 2 sec.
- Trample — Inflicts normal damage plus additional damage to nearby enemies.

- Boulder — Hurls a boulder at an enemy, inflicting Physical damage.
- Earth Shock — Shocks an enemy with concussive force, inflicting Nature damage and interrupting the spell being cast for 2 sec.
- Earth Spike — Conjure forth a spike of earth that inflicts Nature damage.
- Shockwave — Sends a wave of force in front of the warrior, causing damage and stunning all enemy targets within 10 yards in a frontal cone for 4 sec.

Notes and trivia[]
- His name comes from an avalanche which is a rapid flow of snow or rock down a slope, from either natural triggers or human activity.
- He has an invisible Follower recruiting spell with the following description: Follower: Avalanchion — "Among the great Stone Lords of Deepholm, Avalanchion is known for being virtually indestructible. Avalanchion easily ignores mortal sensations such as fear and pain and will fulfill his master's commands with unyielding focus." The spell is associated to a buff that says "Avalanchion is a powerful Stone Lord who can guard his allies in battle and draw enemy attacks."

- It is unknown how he survived [30-35] Bring Down the Avalanche, as he was killed within Deepholm, which would normally mean the permanent death of an earth elemental.
