Bastillax is a massive eredar who leads the Burning Legion's invasion of the Vault of the Wardens during the demon hunter starting experience. He continually taunts demon hunter players as they fight their way through the Vault. During [8-45] Between Us and Freedom, the Illidari confront and kill him in the Chamber of Night, as he is the last obstacle preventing the demon hunters from escaping the Vault.

In the dungeon version of the Vault of the Wardens, Bastillax's corpse can be seen in the Chamber of Night, still lying in the same spot where he fell.

Blur of Shadows — Increases Dodge chance by 100% and can dodge attacks from behind. Succesfully dodging an attack causes a Nether Bolt to be fired at the enemy.
Crushing Shadows — Knocks nearby enemies in the air, inflicting 6 Shadow damage every second. Channeled. Interruptible.
- Crushing Shadows — Crushing enemies for 6 Shadow damage every second.
Fel Annihilation — Inflicts massive Fire damage to enemies in front of Mephistos^[sic].
Portal Surge — Mephistos^[sic] calls reinforcements from the Twisting Nether. Summons Savage Felstalkers.
