The Battle of Hillsbrad is a Horde quest chain in Hillsbrad Foothills in which the players wage war against the human inhabitants of the region, in an attempt to claim the area for the Forsaken. Quests are combat oriented, and take place mostly in the nearby area and Hillsbrad Fields. They are excellent for gaining experience very quickly, given the combat nature of the quests and their short duration.

The objectives of the quests in this chain overlap with those of both  [25] Souvenirs of Death and  [28] Dangerous!. Thus, it is most efficient to do all these quests at the same time.

The Battle of Hillsbrad

•  [24] Battle of Hillsbrad

In Tarren Mill, High Executor Darthalia recruits you into the service of Varimathras, who has ordered all the humans who stand in the way of the Forsaken in this region to be killed. She sends you east, to Hillsbrad Fields, to make a raid on the farmers who work the land there and kill the landowners, Farmer Ray and Farmer Getz.

Having successfully completed that mission, Darthalia sends you back to Hillsbrad to slay the peasants who hide in the orchard in fear of the attacks.

An unexpected quirk has come into the plans of the Forsaken. Armed by steel forged in their local blacksmith, the inhabitants of Hillsbrad putting up an unexpected fight. Darthalia orders you to kill the head blacksmith, Verringtan, and his apprentices, and turn the human's own weapons against them by stealing their iron.

Thanks to your efforts, the township has almost fallen. To speed victory further, Darthalia wants you to kill Magistrate Burnside and the town council, steal the town registry, and burn their precious town proclamation.

With victory in Hillsbrad basically accomplished, Darthalia now turns her attention to securing the rest of the region. The registry you stole says that the Azurelode Mine to the south of Hillsbrad supplies the rest of the Alliance with valuable iron. Darthalia believes a decisive blow to the workforce and the death of their leader, Foreman Bonds, will encourage them to reconsider their commitment to their jobs.

Upon slaying Foreman Bonds, however, two dwarves attack you. Such impertinence demands retribution.

Your final mission to establish Forsaken control of the region is to lay siege to the dwarven hold of Dun Garok, whose soldiers have been lending assistance to the battered humans of the region. Additionally, Captain Ironhill, the leader of the force, must be killed.

•  [32] Battle of Hillsbrad

Your work complete, Darthalia sends you to receive your reward from Bragor Bloodfist, who praises your efforts and commends you for your service.

The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 3.3.2.

Your work complete, Darthalia sends you to receive your reward from Varimathras himself, who praises your efforts and commends you for your service.
