Battlelord Gaardoun is a Broken located at Illidari Foothold on Mardum. He is the leader of the Ashtongue forces that are summoned during the course of the Illidari invasion of Mardum.[1] After the demon hunters return to the Black Temple, Gaardoun and his forces remained on Mardum. As they were not present for Akama's rebellion against Illidan, they are still loyal to the Illidari.

He is accompanied by Ashtongue Mystics, Ashtongue Warriors and Ashtongue Stalkers.

Alternatively, Gaardoun and his forces could very well be evil members of the Ashtongue, who Akama used to as a front to hide the good Ashtongue, and thus their loyalty to the Illidari was never at risk.
