The Beast Den is a verdant grotto with winding caves teeming with wildlife found near the coast of Durotar. Months after the Battle of Mount Hyjal, it was infested by a tribe of quilboar, who attacked any orcs that traveled near it en route to a goblin coastal observatory. At the very back of the caverns there existed a small satyr coven, making Durotar one of the few areas south of Ashenvale with any satyr presence, however small. However, both the quilboar and satyrs were slain by Rexxar and his companions during the events of the Founding of Durotar.[1]

Vicious and territorial, the quillboars are not an enemy to be trifled with. It is said among the orcs that only the suicidal would fight the quillboars in their own home.
