Belath Dawnblade is a blood elf demon hunter of the Illidari. He commands scouts.[1]
History[]
Belath is first encountered at Molten Shore on Mardum where he was captured in a cage but soon freed by his fellow Illidari.[2] He companies the demon hunters to Illidari Foothold.
He is briefly seen again in Dalaran, accompanying Kor'vas Bloodthorn and helping her sacrifice captured demons to open the Illidari Gateway.[3] He then travels to the Fel Hammer. He and Matron Mother Malevolence coordinated efforts to obtain the Grimoire of Arcane Ways and scout the Black Temple before the Illidari returned there to confront Akama. Later, he arranged an effort with the Wardens led by Sira Moonwarden to hunt down demons that had escaped from the Vault of the Wardens. In return, the wardens were to help the demon hunters locate the Sargerite Keystone. He also learned of Ariana Fireheart survival on Mardum and was impressed by her as he remembered her as an excellent trainer.
He then traveled to Azsuna and sent a report back to the Fel Hammer about Loramus Thalipedes.[4] He can be seen at Illidari Stand. Apparently having been wounded, to his disappointment he is assigned to be the innkeeper while he recovers.
Belath later did some recon in Stormheim and discovered information about the Tideskorn and Malace Shade, and asked the Slayer to locate Malace. Once she was rescued and assisted, she shared how to obtain the Keystone, which was ultimately delivered to Belath. With his efforts, Belath was promoted to the Slayer's champion of the Illidari.
He ultimately kept tabs on Caria and Varedis Felsoul and tracked them to Niskara. The Illidari invaded the demon world, and Belath was among the invading army.[5]

- As a bodyguard, Belath rides an Illidari Felstalker on the ground, and a red felbat in the air.
- He has an invisible Follower recruiting spell with the following description: Champion: Belath Dawnblade — "One of the quieter Illidari, Belath nonetheless is also one of its most capable. He shows an incredible aptitude for scouting, stealth, and creative approaches to tactical situations." The spell is associated to a buff that says "Belath Dawnblade is a paragon of infiltration and dealing with tricky situations."
