Tarren Mill Peasants are human peasants working in and near the apple orchard in Tarren Mill in Old Hillsbrad Foothills. Many of them can be seen carrying sacks of apples from the orchard and offloading them at wagons or crates in the nearby town.

As revealed in dialogue with the Tarren Mill Horsehand, one of the peasants is named Benjamin, while another working on a broken wagon on the east side of the orchard is named Samuel.

Quotes[]

In the orchard

The Tarren Mill Horsehand will periodically approach one of the peasants in the orchard and say one of the following:

  • Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Good day, Benjamin! Would you mind if I took an apple for Bessy?
  • Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Hullo there, Benjamin! Mind if I snack an apple for Old Bessy?

This is followed by:

Tarren Mill Peasant says: Sure, go ahead and take one, there's plenty for all!
Tarren Mill Horsehand grabs an apple from the tree.
Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Thanks, Benjamin!
The broken wagon

The lone peasant working on the wagon on the east side of the orchard will periodically emote:

Tarren Mill Peasant grumbles to himself while he works.

While walking back to the stable after interacting with Benjamin, the Tarren Mill Horsehand will stop and talk to this peasant, saying one of the following:

  • Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Such an old wagon, no wonder it broke down on you, Samuel.
  • Tarren Mill Horsehand says: That wagon break down on you again, Samuel?

This is followed by:

Tarren Mill Peasant says: Aye, its[sic] still broken. Can't afford to buy a new one though.
Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be by again later if you want a hand.

The horsehand interacts with this peasant again later in his walk cycle.

Tarren Mill Horsehand says: Any luck, Samuel?
Tarren Mill Peasant says: Nay, its[sic] still broken. No luck at all, I suppose.
