For the WCIII building, see Beastiary (Warcraft III).

The World of Warcraft Bestiary (or, incorrectly, "Beastiary") initially was the first teaser web site for World of Warcraft on the Blizzard web site. It eventually turned into the Town Hall and the "bestiary" pages were only linked from pages therein.

Each of the pages of the bestiary showed an animated sequence of monster with sound and a short bit of lore. Most of the mobs were from Alliance zones, since those were implemented earlier than much of the Horde zones.

It was later followed by bestiaries for The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Mists of Pandaria expansions. No bestiary was introduced for the Cataclysm expansion. The articles did not survive the 2011 overhaul of the World of Warcraft Official Website, but can still be viewed through online archives.

Beasts of the Savage Lands served as the bestiary for the release of Warlords of Draenor.
