Bind to Account (BtA) is a new form of item binding that was introduced in Patch 3.0.2. Items that are BtA include heirlooms, Collector's Edition companions, the 
[Baby Blizzard Bear], and the 
[Onyxian Whelpling].
Some players may use the term BoA instead of BtA to match BoP and BoE.
Account Bound items can be mailed to any character that shares the same account and server. Since Patch 3.3.0, account-bound items can be mailed to characters of opposing faction.
