Led by Warlord Zaela and Commander Tharbek, the Black Iron are orcs consisting of two main orcish groups. The first group, the Ironmarch led by Tharbek assaulted Blasted Lands, razed it and moved to the Blackrock Spire, where they joined forces with Zaela and her Dragonmaw clan that was formerly affiliated with the True Horde and the Horde. Their membership consists of ogres and they also have proto-dragons under their control.

Their forces can be found throughout Upper Blackrock Spire.
