Information[]
Black Rock appears at the last mission of the human campaign, Black Rock Spire. It functions as a Town Hall, but with double the Hit Points, and it cannot be rebuilt.
Destroying the building will make all remaining Orc combat units launch an all-out attack on your base. Production facilities that still remain will continue to produce and immediately send the units towards your base.
In the game files, it is given a cost of 2500 gold and 2000 lumber, but this is irrelevant since it cannot be built. [1]
Trivia[]
- Black Rock benefits from armor upgrades, but since the enemy AI never performs any upgrades or new research, this extra protection remains unused.
- In the old demo versions, the gold cost and time frames were considerably higher. The frames cost uses the same address as the gold cost for Grunts.
- 1.00: 400 gold, 450 frames
- 1.01: 150 gold, 450 frames
- Within WAR.EXE, a construction time is included for how long it takes to build a road. This value remains unused through all versions of the game.
- 1.00 & 1.01: 450 frames
- 1.12+: 300 frames
