Blazerunner Classic

Blazerunner as he appeared prior to Cataclysm, protected by the Golden Flame.

Prior to the Cataclysm, Blazerunner guarded an artifact called the Golden Flame and used its power to give himself an aura that made him almost invincible.[3] None were able to penetrate the aura, and many who tried to face him found themselves knocked off of the volcano. Marshal Expeditions consequently kept their distance from him.[4] The warrior Linken came to Un'Goro to fight Blazerunner and retrieve the Golden Flame, but after he lost his memories, it was adventurers who ended up facing Blazerunner—using the Silver Totem of Aquementas to dispel his aura—and obtained the Golden Flame.[3]

After the Cataclysm, Blazerunner still lives at the top of Fire Plume Ridge. Williden Marshal asks adventurers to kill him[2] out of worry that he and the other fire elementals might wreak havoc on Marshal's Stand.[5]
