The Blood-Soaked Tome of Dark Whispers drops from Zul, Reborn in Uldir on Normal difficulty and higher. It can only be looted by hunters.

- Once learned, any hunter character on the account can tame blood beasts (such as crawgs).
- The original requirement was for a hunter-only raid group to defeat Zul on Heroic difficulty, but due to an unforeseen bug this was changed in a hotfix to a simple drop.[1] The bug in question had been discovered by accident when Darethius-Tarren Mill (EU)[2] used their
[Hearthstone] during a Heroic Zul encounter, which resulted in the tome being deposited in their inventory.[3]
Patch changes[]
Hotfix (2018-12-23): No longer requires hunter-only raid groups, and can now drop from Zul, Reborn on Normal and higher difficulties. - Patch 8.1.0 (2018-12-11): Added.
