Blood of Innocents is used to summon Kirtonos the Herald in Scholomance. If you're particularly evil, you might want to hold on to it.

This item was a reward from the quest 
[60D] Krastinov's Bag of Horrors.
After completing the follow-up quest [60D] Kirtonos the Herald, the Blood Steward of Kirtonos in The Reliquary in Scholomance would always drop the Blood of Innocents. Doctor Theolen Krastinov and Jandice Barov also had a high chance to drop it.
In Cataclysm, most of the quest chain was removed. Since only the [43D] Kirtonos the Herald quest remained, Eva simply provided the Blood herself as a quest item.
Patch changes[]
Patch 10.1.5 (2023-07-11): Re-added in the Legacy of Scholomance. - Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): With the removal of the prerequisite quest chain, Eva now provides the Blood along with the quest.
- Patch 1.3.0 (2005-03-07): Blood of Innocents will now drop off Jandice Barov for players that have completed the Sarkhoff questline in Scholomance.
- Patch 1.2.2 (2005-02-15): Players who have completed the quest to summon Kirtonos may now obtain the Blood of Innocents from Doctor Theolen Krastinov.
