    Bloodworms deal minor damage to your target for 15 sec and then burst, healing you for 15% of your missing health.

    If you drop below 50% health, your Bloodworms will immediately burst and heal you.

Trivia[]

  • During development of Wrath of the Lich King, this talent's name was Infested Corpse, and its description read: "When an enemy that grants experience or honor dies while suffering from one of your diseases, its corpse has a <10/20/30>% chance of producing <1/1-3/3-5> <Bloodworm/Bloodworms>. Bloodworms attack your enemies, healing you for the amount of damage they deal for 20 sec or until killed."[1]

Patch changes[]

  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 7 Blood talent (was a level 45 Blood talent).
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now requires level 45 (was 90).
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now requires level 90 (was 56). Now has a chance to trigger from all auto-attacks (was only auto-attack critical strikes).
  • Legion Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Healing per bloodworm increased to 15% of max HP (was 5%).
  • Legion Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added and redesigned.
    Previous effect: Your weapon hits have a <3/6/9>% chance to cause the target to spawn 2-4 Bloodworms. Bloodworms attack your enemies, healing you as they do damage for 20 sec or until killed.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed; replaced by Spell shadow soulleech [Blood Parasite].
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Bloodworms now heal more.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
