Brine is an orc shaman located on a hill in the northern part of Blackthorn Ridge in the Southern Barrens. She is an expert on the spirits and nature of water, and previously aided trainee shaman adventurers in their quests to gain their water totem.

When she was small, someone told her stories that even in times of great pain and sorrow, one can find a sliver of hope, a small symbol to rally around. At some point, Brine followed her companions into the Hillsbrad Foothills and fought against the humans living there, eventually arriving in Tarren Mill. While there, she found a small well of fresh spring water in the center of the town.^[1]
