Calydus is a wyrmtongue located on Dreadscar Rift, a Legion world under the control of the warlocks of the Black Harvest. Calydus was a servant of Jagganoth, the previous Overlord of Dreadscar Rift, and was routinely beaten and tortured. Hating Jagganoth, Calydus jumped on the occasion presented to him and helped the warlocks of the Black Harvest on their mission on Dreadscar Rift.

Legion

This section concerns content related to Legion.

Calydus first helped the new Sixth of the Black Harvest rescue the other members of the Council, held captive by Jagganoth. He then led them to the archives of the Dreadscar to steal the Tome of Blighted Implements, a guide to powerful weapons sought after by the Burning Legion. After being discovered by Jagganoth, the Council attempted to escape, but were all knocked to the ground except for the Sixth and Calydus, who made it to the portal and escaped to Dalaran.

Calydus then guided the Sixth in retrieving one of those weapons and, together, they returned to Dreadscar Rift to defeat Jagganoth. After the Sixth emerged victorious, Calydus instructed them to take the heart of Jagganoth and expose it on the altar of the Dreadscar, giving them control of Dreadscar Rift and Jagganoth's armies.

He participated in the Battle for the Exodar, battling against High General Rakeesh, along with Ritssyn Flamescowl.
