The subject of this article was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 3.0.2.

- Champion of the Naaru
- Earned the title, "<Champion of the Naaru>".
The title Champion of the Naaru was introduced in patch 2.3.0 and was available to players who have completed the quests to obtain [The Tempest Key] as well as the Serpentshrine Cavern attunement chain.
Unlike some titles, this will appear after the player's name, so it will look like this:
- <Name>, Champion of the Naaru
The required quests are:
- [30R] Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon (this is approximately the thirtieth quest in a multi-chain quest series documented in the Tempest Key Guide)
- [30R] The Cudgel of Kar'desh
The Tempest Key was originally the attunement quest required to enter The Eye, the raid instance of Tempest Keep. The attunement requirement for both The Eye and Serpentshrine Cavern were removed in patch 2.1.2, but Blizzard said that they wished to add a reward for players who decide to complete the chain. According to Eyonix, it will not be available to players beyond level 70 in the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, to prevent easy access to the title.[1] Tigole further clarified by saying that the title will not be available once patch 3.0.X arrives.[2] This is not a contradiction, because the encounters have been made easier, and Eyonix was a little vague in his original statement.
On October 15, 2008, Blizzard introduced Patch 3.0.2 which removed this title and the Hand of A'dal title, for reasons stated above. Players who earned the titles prior to Patch 3.0.2 still have the option to use it and the questlines are still available, but they offer no title.
This title is still obtainable in 3.0.2, but only to those who accepted/completed Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon and [30R] The Cudgel of Kar'desh prior to the release of 3.0.2. The quests obtainable prior to 3.0.2 launch had a different ID number than the same quests after launch. Those who completed the earlier version receive the title.
As of patch 3.0.2, players that have earned the title have also earned the Feat of Strength achievement, Champion of the Naaru.
