Clan Teerai is one of the four major Maruuk centaur clans of the Ohn'ahran Plains. They are responsible for upholding the traditions of the ancestors and guiding the Maruuk according to their ways.[1] The Teerai are not led by a normal khan but instead by the Khanam Matra (currently Khanam Matra Sarest), who acts as the cultural khan of all Maruuk.[2] Their seat of power is Teerakai.
Culture[]
Clan Teerai are the tradition keepers and storytellers of the Maruuk.[2][3] They pride themselves on being the protectors of "good values".[4] Their leader, the Khanam Matra, is always a descendant of the Maruuk's first matriarch, Teera.[2] The daughters of a Khanam Matra are given the special title or surname "Dotur". Many such women can be found among the Teerai, dedicating their lives to upholding traditions and serving the Maruuk in many ways. When a Khanam Matra dies, her successor is chosen from her daughters and granddaughters, ensuring the continuation of Teera's bloodline.[5]
As the keepers of tradition, the Teerai organize and oversee the seasonal Khural at Maruukai.[4][6][7][8]

- Like the other Maruuk clans, Clan Teerai is considered a separate reputation faction by the game, but this is only for display purposes to indicate which NPCs are members of the clan. It is not possible to earn separate reputation with them.
