• Cluster Launcher
  • Use: Place on the ground to launch cluster rockets. Lasts 30 minutes.
  • 1 Charge

A Cluster Launcher object is used to launch Rocket Cluster Fireworks. These are associated with the Lunar Festival event.

A Rocket Cluster Firework must be used near a Cluster Launcher. Conceptually, the Firework is thrown into the Cluster Launcher, but there is no targeting involved, just right click on the Rocket Cluster in your inventory. (A Cluster Launcher is "used" in the same sense that an Anvil is "used" in WoW.)

During the Lunar Festival, Cluster Launchers can be found near the Lunar Festival Revelers celebrating in the capital cities; Darnassus, Ironforge, Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity, but not Exodar nor Silvermoon; and in Moonglade. There are also Cluster Launchers scattered around these cities in odd locations during the event.

The Cluster Launcher item is used to spawn a Cluster Launcher object on the ground. These can be used anywhere "outdoors" (i.e. not in buildings), including some outdoor encounters in instances such as Supremus in the Black Temple. The Cluster Launcher object lasts for 30 minutes.

This item is crafted with Engineering (275); taught by  [Schematic: Cluster Launcher].

Because the  [Lucky Rocket Cluster] gives its benefit to all nearby when it is launched, the Cluster Launcher item can be handy for placing a Cluster Launcher object just outside of an instance to buff a raid prior to entering the instance.
