World of Warcraft: The Comic ongoing series

The original comic series leaned it's focus more towards the Alliance rather than the Horde. In response Wildstorm intended to spinoff a Horde series and continue the original series as an Alliance centric comic begining with issue 26. This has since been cancelled, however, in favor of releasing the stories in graphic novel form instead.

World of Warcraft ongoing series Horde spinoff

Wildstorm intended to launch a new Horde title to complement the World of Warcraft ongoing series, which came into a wrap-up in issue 25, triggering the split of the World of Warcraft comic book into two titles with the new Horde title spinoff hitting newsstands on January 2010. This has since been cancelled, however, in favor of releasing the stories in graphic novel form instead.

World of Warcraft: Bloodsworn is a 2013 graphic novel set in the Warcraft universe, written by Doug Wagner and illustrated by Jheremy Raapack, with inks by Joe Weems and Richard Friends and colors by Jeromy Cox. It is a Horde-centered spinoff of World of Warcraft: The Comic, featuring characters first introduced in Beginnings & Ends, and thus serves as the companion graphic novel to the Alliance-centered Dark Riders.

Summary

As the Cataclysm rips through Azeroth, Warchief Garrosh Hellscream orders the best warriors of the Horde to come forward and serve in a new army, lest their foes in the Alliance sense weakness and attack. We meet these warriors as they come forward – from very different lands, backgrounds, traditions…

Will they be able to overcome their deep differences and work together to serve the Horde, especially when challenged by a powerful, unfamiliar race claiming to be the real rulers of Azeroth?

At San Diego Comic-Con 2009, Wildstorm announced that they intended to split the ongoing World of Warcraft: The Comic into two titles after the comic's main plot came to a wrap-up in its 25th issue: World of Warcraft: Horde and World of Warcraft: Alliance. The Horde spinoff was planned to hit newsstands in January 2010 and was originally intended to be a monthly series. However, in December 2009, Wildstorm announced that they had opted to transition the World of Warcraft: Horde and World of Warcraft: Alliance series to an original graphic novel format, allowing them to place greater emphasis on the art and narrative. The canceled Issue 1 and Issue 2 of World of Warcraft: Horde thus became the start of Bloodsworn, while World of Warcraft: Alliance became the graphic novel Dark Riders. Pop Mhan was originally scheduled to be the artist of Bloodsworn, but at some point left the project and was replaced by Jheremy Raapack.

The graphic novel's cover, illustrated by Samwise Didier and Alex Horley, along with its official title, was revealed on July 21, 2011 during the Blizzard Licensed Products panel at Comic-Con 2011. In June of the same year, Jheremy Raapack stated that the comic might be released in late 2011 or early 2012, and added that development of the comic was at its highest. The graphic novel was finally released two years later, in August 2013.

Wildstorm intended to release another Warcraft comic series during 2009. It is unknown whether this would be a mini-series akin to Ashbringer or a fully fledged series in its own right.

This planned series could have been the now left on ice World of Warcraft: Lich King.

Wildstorm once released information on a product called "World of Warcraft: Panderans" but quickly removed it, as the information was inaccurate. They planned on putting up details on the correct product "in a few months" (from September, 2009).
