Cortinarius is a sylvar first encountered in the Stalks in Ardenweald. Marasmius called him "Cort".[1] Called the Chief Mushroomancer, he disappeared some time after the anima drought began. After unsuccessfully denying Drust-possessed fae access to the mushroom ring network, he was discovered near the Stalks by an adventurer who was trying to help repair the network for the Night Fae Covenant. He helps to fend off the Drust with the help of Marasmius, and later relocates to the Ring where he acts as quartermaster for Marasmius.
