Cox is a large human and the partner of the famous detective Halford Ramsey. Together, Cox and Halford were investigating the Starlight Slasher murders; however, the two of them did not get along. Halford's cold logical view of the world angered Cox, especially when he began treating corpses without the respect a dead human deserves. Cox displayed happiness when Halford punched him, saying he had been waiting a long time for them to fight.
Cox and Halford discovered a Wolf Cult ritual in an antique shop at Gilneas City, and Halford pursued their suspects into the Blackwald before being attacked by a worgen. Cox later delivered news of Halford's apparent death to King Genn Greymane.
When the worgen attacked Gilneas in force days later, Cox was revealed to be a servant of Alpha Prime and a member of the Wolf Cult.[1]
