Crawgol is an orc stationed in Desolation Hold in the Southern Barrens as part of the war effort against the Alliance in the area. Prior to the hold's construction, he warned Warlord Gar'dul not to build it on top of the silithid colony in the area, but was ignored. He has since taken it upon himself to dealing with the silithid threat to the hold, becoming the local "silithid expert".
History[]
Cataclysm[]
Crawgol has been with Desolation Hold since its construction, and while the main threat to its mission remains the nearby Alliance forces in Fort Triumph, he deals mostly with the local silithid presence. His main method of dealing with the insectoids is sealing their tunnels burning pitch, and he recruits Horde adventurers in the area to aid in this effort.[1]
Crawgol's extensive dealings with the silithid in Desolation Hold has presumably led him to become highly knowledgeable on the creatures. He would later pen a guide for the Earthen Ring, though its literary value left much to be desired.[2]
Battle for Azeroth[]
By the time of the Fourth War and following the death of Warlord Bloodhilt, Crawgol was promoted to Warlord and given control of Desolation Hold. He was targeted by Alliance forces when they launched a large assault on the hold.[3]

Our Fort Was a Triumph states that the Alliance force was sent to Desolation Hold, but the mission's location is stated to be Fort Triumph. It could be speculated that Crawgol and the Horde actually held the conquered Fort and were encountered while en-route to Desolation Hold. Alternatively, the location information could be a mistake and was meant to be Desolation Hold instead.
