Crusader Lord Valdelmar is an undead found in Tyr's Hand in the Eastern Plaguelands, and is the former ruler of Tyr's Hand for the Scarlet Crusade. Even in undeath, however, he still appears to be leading Tyr's Hand.
History[]
Valdelmar in life.
Some time after the Third War, Valdelmar was approached by High General Abbendis of the Knights of the Silver Hand seeking allies against the undead in Lordaeron, and he agreed to aid them, becoming allies.[1] After the split of the Silver Hand, he and Tyr's Hand seemingly remained allied with the Scarlet Crusade as the place became their holding.
During Year 25, Horde adventurers disguised as Scarlet Crusade members were sent by Nathanos Blightcaller to deliver a letter detailing Demetria's orders. Valdelmar found it odd, but agreed.
After the Cataclysm, he somehow became undead. Archmage Angela Dosantos of the Brotherhood of the Light sent adventurers to slay him.
Abilities[]
Cleave — Inflicts 110% of weapon damage to an enemy and its nearest allies, affecting up to 3 targets.- Crusader Strike — Inflicts 60% of normal weapon damage to an enemy and increases the Holy damage it takes by 25 per Crusader Strike. Can be applied up to 5 times. Lasts 15 sec.
- Devotion Aura — Gives additional armor to nearby party members for 4 min. Players may only have one aura on them per paladin at any one time.
- Hammer of Justice — Stuns an enemy, rendering it unable to move or attack for 5 sec.
- Lay on Hands — Heals an ally for an amount equal to the caster's maximum health. Drains all of the caster's remaining mana when used.

Trivia[]
- Valdelmar wore red color before the split of the Silver Hand in Ashbringer, like he does in WoW, a trait shared with Saidan Dathrohan. When Abbendis and Valdelmar met to make an alliance, Abbendis told him that the people of Tyr's Hand may count the Silver Hand as allies, implying that Valdelmar wasn't a member of the paladin order.
- His quote "Undeath is merely a setback!" is based upon Kael'thas Sunstrider's infamous quote.
