Cyana Nightglaive is a night elven demon hunter of the Illidari.
History[]
Cyana sought out Illidan Stormrage in Outland to fight the Burning Legion several months prior to his defeat. She never spoke about what the Legion did to her but she gave the impression that she thirsted for vengeance. She trained with Vandel. Cyana participated in the attack on Nathreza.[2]
She is initially found as a quest giver at the Molten Shore on Mardum.
Later on in Azsuna, she was sent with Kor'vas Bloodthorn and a small force of Illidari on a mission to Faronaar with orders to weaken the Burning Legion from within.[3] Although the group was successful in destroying the demons' forward base there, an imp mother and her brood took captive the demon hunters -- Cyana included -- with the exception of Kor'vas. Although the other captives refused to give in after suffering much torment and being tempted with offers of great fel power, Cyana did not and betrayed the Illidari.[4] She traveled with the corrupted warden Cordana Felsong to a nearby overlook and there received an infusion of fel energy. While Cordana left the area to attend to other matters, Cyana fought against the combined efforts of Kor'vas, the adventurer, and Stellagosa. She lost and was subsequently killed.[5]
At learning of her betrayal, Kor'vas confided that she'd always had her doubts about Cyana, and that "something was never quite right there."[6]

- [Cyana Nightglaive's Coin] can be fished up from the fountain in the version of Dalaran.
- Cyana was initially the only Illidari-loyal demon hunter featured in Legion who also appeared in World of Warcraft: Illidan. This changed when Vandel was added in Patch 7.2.0.
- When Cyana is killed, she is transformed into a demon and thus may return in the future.
