Dadanga was probably named after Dodongo, a monster from the The Legend of Zelda series, based on its similar appearance and the comment of its owner saying that it "hates smoke", similar to Dodongo. Also, a NPC resembling Link named Linken was found in a hollowed tree nearby.
A favorite food of hers was Bloodpetal Sprouts.
