Daily quests (popularly nicknamed dailies) are repeatable quests that can be acquired and completed once per day. These quests have significantly better rewards than other repeatable quests. Daily quests come in many different flavors, and many are for reputation, instances, professions, and battlegrounds.

The daily quest lists below include ongoing and new quests designated for level 85 players and players leveling in Cataclysm.

Restrictions

You may complete up to 25 daily quests per day per character. The exact reset hour depends on the realm, but it never changes, is chosen to be in the early morning, and will not coincide with the instance reset. You can double-check by mousing over the daily quests completed out of 25 in the upper left corner of your quest log.

Often, a quest chain needs to be completed first to unlock the quest.

3 quests are available after a game for the winning faction depending on which block is open (blocks are opened randomly). Quest:A Huge Problem, Quest:Swamp Bait, and Quest:The Leftovers are always available.

Profession dailies

Cooking dailies

Cooking dailies are offered in the main cities by Marogg (Orgrimmar) or Robby Flay (Stormwind). 1 is randomly selected for each faction, and offered to all users on the realm.

Fishing dailies

Fishing dailies are offered in the main cities by Razgar (Orgrimmar) or Catherine Leland (Stormwind). 1 is randomly selected for each faction, and offered to all users on the realm.

Jewelcrafting dailies

Jewelcrafting dailies are offered in the main cities by Marith Lazuria (Orgrimmar) or Isabel Jones (Stormwind) once the Jewelcrafter achieves skill level 475. One is randomly selected for each faction, and offered to all users on the realm.

Seasonal Events

During particular Seasonal Events throughout the year special daily quests become available.

Brewfest

Note that only one of the Barking quests can be done each day, i.e. you cannot bark for both the Thunderbrews and the Barleybrews in the same day. In addition, the repeatable version of There and Back Again has a twelve-hour reset time as opposed to the 4 AM reset time of the other dailies.

Patches and hotfixes

  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3 (2010-11-16): Cataclysm daily quests added.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): Daily Heroic and Dungeon quests removed due to the new Dungeon Finder tool.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.4.0 (2008-03-25): The Daily Quest limit has been increased to 25.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Quest givers who have available daily quests will have a blue exclamation point instead of a yellow one.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.2.0 (2007-09-25): Players can now accept daily quests even after their daily quest limit has been reached.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Daily quests added. Repeatable but can only be done once per day. Max of 10 daily quests per day.
