David Fried is a former game designer for Blizzard Entertainment.

He worked on campaign design in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Fried designed, modeled, and scripted several campaign levels such as The Culling, Digging up the Dead, and King Arthas, in addition to designing and modeling several multiplayer levels. He also assisted in the design of heroes, abilities, and units, and both wrote and edited the Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos manual, character dialogue, and help functions within the game.

Fried later worked on World of Warcraft as a quest designer. He designed multiple quests as well as multiple characters such as a Sergra Darkthorn, Darsok Swiftdagger, Wizbang Cranktoggle, Takrin Pathseeker, Kargal Battlescar, Illiyana, Delgren the Purifier, and Balthule Shadowstrike.

Outside of Blizzard, he has been part of gaming companies in Asia and Europe and designed games such as Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, The Da Vinci Code, and Akaneiro: Demon Hunters.

He currently lives in Thailand.
