The Deathbringer's Will is looted from the Deathbringer's Cache after defeating Deathbringer Saurfang in the 25-man version of Icecrown Citadel.

While the trinket is very useful for physical DPS classes, it does have its flaws. As its proc causes the wearer to "transform" into one of the races of Northrend, certain actions (such as mounting) are prohibited as a result (this does not remove druid forms, however, unlike or transforms).
The transformations the trinket provides are random, last 30 seconds each, and vary between classes.
The heroic version increases stats and attack power by 605.

Patch changes[]
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Armor penetration has been removed from the game. This item now provides critical strike rating instead.
- Patch 3.3.3 (2010-03-23): "Using the
[Goblin Rocket Pack] will now remove all the shapeshift forms triggered by Deathbringer's Will and allow use of the item (previously players would have to click off the shapeshift in order to be allowed to use this item)." - Hotfix (2010-01-06): Deathbringer’s Will trinket will now proc haste as a replacement for armor penetration.
