Delgren the Purifier was a paladin human located at Maestra's Post in Ashenvale, working alongside Balthule Shadowstrike and Feero Ironhand against the Cult of the Dark Strand. A company of Argent Dawn paladins, they came to Ashenvale to offer their help to the Alliance's night elven allies in their quest to purge the lands of demons and undead. Much to the disdain of his superiors, Delgren learned Orcish.

Along with Trey Lightforge they were likely members of the paladin company that went to Kalimdor to help the night elves against the demons.

This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

Following the Cataclysm, Delgren died defending Maestra's Post against the Horde's attack. His prayer book was subsequently recovered and sent to the Argent Dawn embassy in Darnassus.

In the RPG

The paladin of the Knights of the Silver Hand Delgren the Purifier leads the military camp Maestra's Post. Brann Bronzebeard met with Delgren when he was checking on the activities of the people encamped in the area. The knight stuck out like a sore thumb, his shining armor making him a glowing beacon in the forest, whereas most of the other humans and elves had long ago learned to wear something that blended in a bit better. In spite of the stubborn habits of the knighthood, Brann found that he liked the lad. Delgren and his folk were investigating an orc and Forsaken cult in the north, called the Darkstrand Cult, and Brann gladly volunteered to help. While they cleared out the zombies, Delgren explained a bit about the area and even taught the dwarf a few words in Darnassian.

Darian Thunderhammer was another paladin who was investigating the Darkstrand Cult.
