Patch changes[]

  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25):
  • Shadowlands Hotfix (2020-10-21): Fixed an issue that caused Armor to decrease when using Demon Spikes while there is an active Demon Spikes Armor buff.
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13):
    • Now learned at level 20 or from N Demon hunter [8-45] Stop Gul'dan! (was learned at level 98). Now increases Armor by 75% of Agility (was 60%).
    • Increased parry chance moved to Rank 2 at level 41.
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.2.0 (2019-06-25): Armor reduced to 60% of Agility (was 85%).
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now increases Armor by 85% of Agility instead of reducing physical damage taken by 12%.
  • Legion Hotfix (2017-07-24): Physical damage reduction increased to 12% (was 10%).
  • Legion Patch 7.2.5 (2017-06-13):
    • Demon Spikes can only be extended to a maximum of three times its base duration.
    • When Demon Spikes is activated and a Demon Spikes buff is already present, the values of the two buffs are now correctly averaged.
  • Legion Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Now reduces physical damage by 10% (was 20%).
  • Legion Hotfix (2016-09-23): Demon Spikes damage reduction increased to 20%.
Note: Gearing heavily for Mastery was allowing Vengeance Demon Hunters to reach excessively high levels of Physical damage reduction. We're reducing the top-end potential of this effect somewhat, and bringing up the baseline. This should also cause the value of Mastery to be more in line with other stats.
