Drakan is a frost wolf who, alongside Duros, guards Drek'Thar inside the Hall of the Frostwolf in Alterac Valley. The two wolves are named after Durotan and Draka, the late Frostwolf chieftain and his life-mate.

During [50-70] A People in Need of Healing, Drek'Thar has the orc adventurer duel Drakan and Duros in order to prove that they are worthy of being the first to complete the om'gora. To make it more challenging, Drek'Thar empowers the wolves with elemental magic, with Drakan gaining frost and earth powers. After being defeated, they return to Drek'Thar's side.

Enrage — Enrages, increasing physical damage and attack speed for 2 min.

A People in Need of Healing

Boon of Frost and Earth — Enhanced by the powers of frost and earth.
Stoneskin Howl — Reduces the damage taken by the caster and allies by 50% for 6 sec.

At the original launch of Alterac Valley, Drakan was simply named Draka. They were renamed in patch 2.0.1.
Drakan and Duros use the classic wolf model in the battleground version of Alterac Valley. During [50-70] A People in Need of Healing, they are updated to use the Warlords of Draenor wolf model.
