Eckert is a gnome located at Allerian Stronghold in Terokkar Forest. He describes himself as "a skilled engineer, a brilliant inventor, the heart of any party, and the best dancer Azeroth has ever seen.[1]
Artificer Morphalius hoped that Eckert would answer his call to follow him into the Mana-Tombs, with the promise of vast treasure and ancient knowledge, but Eckert sends an Alliance adventurer in his place.[1]

Eckert is a gnome that resides by his campfire in Allerian Stronghold. Unlike most non-wandering NPCs, he does not stand still, but is constantly moving around his campfire, performing /dance whenever he stays in a specific spot around it.
However, players cannot talk to him and he offers no services other than starting a single quest for Alliance players. He seems to be placed in the game purely for entertainment and amusement, a task he performs admirably.
