Emmarel Shadewarden is a night elf huntress. She has a pet eagle named Snowfeather.

She is first encountered in the Hunter's Reach of Dalaran. One of the secondary leaders of the Unseen Path, she first served as the right hand and student of founder Namuria Gladesong.

After the War of the Ancients, Emmarel followed her mentor Namuria and other night elf hunters as they departed Mount Hyjal and returned to Highmountain and the Broken Isles.[1] The night elves of the Unseen Path specifically sought to guard against the return of the Burning Legion, befriending Huln Highmountain's daughter Arien Highmountain as she led them to the place the night elves and tauren would together build Trueshot Lodge. Afterwards, the Unseen Path's members kept watch over the land from a trio of towers known the Three Towers and learned much from each other over the years.[2]

Several thousand years afterwards,[3] Emmarel was sent to help Silvermoon City against an Amani troll incursion, and fought alongside Talanas Windrunner, the first Ranger-General of Silvermoon.[4]

Most of the Unseen Path was all but wiped out after they returned to Kalimdor and fought alongside their people in the War of the Shifting Sands, with Namuria herself being slain.[5] Emmarel, who succeeded her, kept the Unseen Path small and secluded following the conflict, quietly keeping vigil for a thousand years,[1] and studied the ways of the beast master.

She becomes the hunter hero's first champion alongside Loren Stormhoof.

Emmarel participated in the Battle for the Exodar battling against High General Rakeesh, alongside Loren Stormhoof.

Emmarel was one of the order hall champions who met Khadgar and Velen at Krasus' Landing to discuss the Pillars of Creation.[6]
