Ernest Carlisle is a human alchemist located in Marl's Stead in Val'sharah. He owned a cottage and lived in Gilneas. He earned quite the reputation for his unconventional methods and was shunned from Gilneas long ago.
He was once known as Mad Ernie and worked with Ritssyn Flamescowl,[1] who during the third invasion of the Burning Legion sent adventurers to him in order to aid Shinfel Blightsworn in combating her doom curse. After helping him herd his goats[2] and obtaining ingredients from various areas of Val'sharah,[3] Ernie created an elixir for Shinfel.[4]
