Essence of Awakening is an Ohn'ahran Plains buff obtainable from the following sources:

• Essence of Awakening, an object located in a tent north of Timberstep Outpost.^{[85.71, 20.74]}
•  [Essence of Awakening], a consumable item purchasable from Quartermaster Huseng in Maruukai starting at Renown 7 with the Maruuk Centaur.

It grants the ability to see the following invisible ghost NPCs in the Ohn'ahran Plains:

• Deritetsin the Carver
• Dihar the Unyielding
• Faraqseng Khan
• Himia, the Blessed
• Jhakan Khan
• Mariq Dotur
• Muqur Swiftshot
• Ohn Kanosung
• Shikari Khan
• Talis and Rivan

Giving a gift (in the form of various items) to each of these NPCs is required for the achievement  [Honor Our Ancestors].
